Baxter Blend - Black Tea + Coffee Fruit: It took months of searching but we finally found a black tea that blended well with our cascara and the results are amazing.
Flavor Profile:
Palate: black tea, a hint of cherry
Finish: sweet with black tea dryness
Cascara is Spanish for 'husk' or 'peel' and is used to describe dehydrated coffee fruit. It is higher in antioxidants than cranberries and is delicious to boot! This remarkable fruit has been consumed as a tea for thousands of years. In fact, it was enjoyed long before people learned to roast the beans inside in order to make coffee as we know it today.
With its history and health benefits, not to mention the fact that each serving can be steeped twice, we couldn't resist making a line of teas with it. Each tea has every ingredient carefully weighed, ground, and mixed by hand to ensure the best possible flavor. We then carefully package each tea in a sealed bag which is then placed in a tube along with a half dozen empty tea bags (just in case you don't have a tea infuser handy).
My go to tea every morning. I can not start my day without it 😊
