Pour Over Starter Kit
There is something relaxing about making coffee by hand, one cup at a time. It gives one a chance to focus and prepare for the coming day. It also makes for a very fine cuppa. That's why we decided to offer a pour over starter kit. Everything you need to make a fantastic cup of coffee.
Included in the kit is a Mainely Coffee mug, a Kalita 102 Ceramic Dripper in white and a box of 40 Kalita #2 cone filters.
1) Heat water to between 190-200 degrees Fahrenheit.
2) Preheat mug and dripper, with a filter in place, by pouring a bit of the water in the dripper. Discard water.
3) Place 7 grams of coffee (roughly 1 heaping tablespoon) of coffee in the filter. The coffee should be ground for a drip coffee maker.
4) Slowly pour water over the grounds in a circular pattern until all the grounds are fully wetted. Wait for 30-45 seconds to allow the coffee to release CO2 (otherwise known as the 'bloom'). Then continue slowly pouring water while repeating the circular motion. You should pour 300 grams of water (or until the mug is full).
